4 cent Canadian postatge stamp set. Unusual to find entire sheets of the Centenary mini panes intact and used. Here is a complete set of three that Bileski put together.

THE CENTENARY MINIATURE PANES 
 Centering is the main factor. The Winnipeg Tag 5c is by far the best as not many were needed for use in Winnipeg. But all are excellent property thanks to the Centenary connection. 

Above refers to mint NH examples. Used? Well, just try to find the dealer who may have any in stock or the collector who can show all three in fine used intact condition. Back in 1968 I decided it would be nice to put by some postally used sheets: after all then they were costing me face value. I used them on parcels and registered mail and most recipients obliged by returning the used sheets. 

Anyone who hopes to build up a stock of used stamps in this fashion must always write off 50% of the stamps and much more in the case of large blocks or these sheets of 20 and 25 stamps. Doesn't take much effort to damage that big a unit in the mails. Never mind cancellations; the ugly rollers, smeared prints, or even pen cancels. Plenty of all such. What finished many sheets was corners missing. 

One might ask how about mission mixtures as a source? That would be quite a hope. People who mail packages simply do not use large blocks of stamps on their mail, especially 4c and 5 values. Doubt if anyone in Canada ever found even one of the sheets still intact in any mission mixture. 

I gave up the job after a brief period as results did not justify the outlay. Also ran out of sheets. Stopped after putting together 50 complete satisfactory sets. 
The used must be hundreds of times scarcer, used of course in the period of issue.
