Large Persian-style Rug

Yamaha 5w practice amp made in the 70's/ 80's. Wooden cabinet is a bit beat up but notice the dove-tailing! Lotus guitars were usually copies of better-known, up-market brand-name guitars, such as the Gibson Les Paul and the Fender Stratocaster. Yamaha G-5 Amp &#38; Lotus Guitar w/accessories

This softly-hued pair will instantly appeal to lovers of the quiet times of year. "Burning Off" centers a venerable fish shack, with its dock leading off into the fog. A quick pencil sketch of bait buckets and tackle box graces the dedication, signed also in pencil. &nbsp;In "Season's Out" we see a lone hunter gazing over a fence, next to a ramshackle small barn. The dedication comes under the pencil sketch of boots and hunting gear. Signed in pencil, as well. Both are double-matted and framed under glass in gold wood. American Girl Molly

Dramatic fore-shortening and horizon tilt gets this steam train barreling toward the viewer. The engineer hangs out the window to watch the track, and another figure can be glimpsed in the caboose bringing up the short train. Artist Rod Guthrie, 1938-2006, was the husband of Carole Guthrie, whose monotype is seen in Lot 15. Rod Guthrie's background was in industrial engineering; his love was making model railroad kits. And as evidenced here, he was an accomplished painter, with works in permanent collections in the US and abroad. This print from an original watercolor is titled, signed, and dedicated to the recipients in pencil. This vintage globe features a 12-inch diameter sphere with detailed map surfaces reflecting geopolitical boundaries as of 1934, including pre-WWII Europe and Middle East. The globe rests within a full iron meridian ring incised with degree markings. The stand is a dark carved wood with intricate acanthus leaf design on the pedestal column and lion's paw feet on four legs, exhibiting a hand-crafted aesthetic. There is slight wear consistent with its age, including some stability issues at the top of the stand.

Vintage 1934 Repogle 12" Library Floor Globe on Wooden Stand

Almost antique, this 12" globe shows a different world, before the aftermath of WWII re-drew much of Europe and the Middle East. From Repogle, which was founded in 1930 by Luther Repogle, a school supply salesman whose battle cry became "A globe in every home!" The first globes were put together by Luther and his wife Elizabeth in their Chicago apartment. The Depression stifled business at first, but business boomed when WWII broke out, and FDR recommended that every house have a globe on hand to consult during his radio addresses. Today the company is renowned for hand-made globes of all types, still produced in their factory in Chicago. This piece has a full iron meridian to identify degrees of longitude, carved acanthus leaf wooden base, and fabulously detailed lion's paw caps on the four legs. Needs stabilizing at the top of the stand.
