Wayne Ngan Raku Pottery Vase 

 Extremely rare plate from thelegendary Danish pottery Khler(HAK).&nbsp;<div> It's from the series calledMARGUERIT / MARGUERITTE whichshows a decoration with daisies onblue. It's also called "Magasinstel"because it was made for the knownstore in Denmark called "Magasin duNord".&nbsp;</div><div> The decoration is by Nils Khler(1906-1979) and was developedalready in the beginning of the1920s. The shape was designed byhis brother Herman | Khler(1904-1996).&nbsp;</div><div> The decoration is painted with theso called "<span class="bg-warning nswreasons" id="rid-108">horn</span> painting technique"an old technique in Denmark.The tip of the cow's <span class="bg-warning nswreasons" id="rid-108">horn</span> is cut offand the paint runs through the hole.It's a wet-in-wet technique and thedaisy decoration was very difficult.&nbsp;</div><div> Nils Khler himself also decoratedMARGUERIT pieces.&nbsp;</div><div> Hand signed on bottom "HAK" andstamped "Denmark"&nbsp;</div><div> This item has one chip, however itis in an excellent vintage condition,considering the 102 years sinceproduction.  VAN BRIGGLE art pottery with theMing blue turquoise matte glaze.&nbsp;<div> The older the piece, generally thedeeper color of the turquoise glaze.&nbsp;</div><div> Excellent condition overall, typicalglaze crazing for the period this piece80 years old. VAN BRIGGLE made very few footedpieces of pottery, so there is only theone mark on the bottom of one of the"feet".&nbsp;</div><div> Cream colored Stoneware clay,poured into a mold, bisqued fired, andthe glaze applied (copper/cobalt) forcolouring, and an extra layer applied tocreate the gradation.
