Lot Of 4 Antique Pocket Watches

Lot with 4 bottles.First up is the great green bulbous bottle. To me this is the prize of the lot. I think this one is a very early bottle, definitely handblown. Look at that glorious concave shape at the punt. And look at that separate applied ring of glass just below the mouth. No, that isnt a chip. Its how the glass was wrapped on the neck. Various swirls and bubbles in the glass are not cracks or breaks but anomalies inherent in the glassblowing process. Will this ever clean up to be a nice clear shiny bottle? I dont know. I never tried as I loved it just as it is. Measures approx 5.25 diameter at widest x 8 high.Next is the pale green bottle embossed on the exterior Lydia Pinkhams Vegetable Compound. Again, bubble anomalies from the glass making process - particularly the indentation on the back shoulder. This bottle has seams on the side so a mold was used to make it. 8.25 tall x 3.5 wide x 1.75 thick. No chips or cracks but interior clouding from former contents.The amber bottle is embossed on the exterior shoulder CERTO and upside down on the lower quarter reads For 1/2 Bottle Pour To Here with an arrow pointing to the halfway mark. Again seams on the sides of the bottle. Measures just under 7.5 tall x 2.25 diameter at base. Interior residue but no chips or cracks.Lastly is the little pale green glass ink bottle. Side seams as well. Measures 2.25 tall x just over 1.75 diam at base. No chips or cracks but interior residue present.Bring packing material.

Lot Of 4 Old Bottles

I bought this antique wooden shovel years ago from a Norwood estate which said this was used as a maple syrup paddle. Ive seen such pieces sometimes referred to as grain shovels. Great thick wood with wonderful patina. Heavy screws and nuts fasten that lovely curved handle to the one board scoop. Measures 54 tall from base of scoop to top of handle. Scoop measures 16.5 high x 12.25 at widest.Great piece of primitive Canadiana. Wear indicative of age and use.

Vintage Fire King mixing bowl in desirable tulips pattern. This is a large size measuring 9.5 diameter at mouth x 6 high. Vintage Fire King Mixing Bowl - Tulips

This antique iron sewing stand frame was given new life with the addition of a barnboard top and shelf. I used it in my front entry to catch keys and loose change, hold mail and gloves, and anything else I needed at my finger tips.The table measures 25.75 wide x 19.5 deep x 28.25 high. Vintage Sewing Stand With Barnboard Top

This vintage crystal table lamp is both beautiful and heavy! This had been in my family for several years and I was always told it was Waterford crystal. I cannot attest to this as there are no marks I can find, but I also understand pieces arent always marked.What I can tell you is it sparkles when lit up. There are no chips or cracks. It is in working condition but it is always wise to rewire vintage pieces for peace of mind, especially the wall plug I would say. The lamp stands 23.25 high to top of harp, crystal body on its own is 12 high, 15.25 circumference at widest, no shade.A magnificent vintage lamp. Bring packing material.

Vintage Crystal Lamp - Waterford?

A functional vintage Dandy glass butter churn. Metal screw lid and gears, wood paddle and handle. Bottom of glass jar embossed with Hazel Atlas mark, a number 4 (4 quarts?), and number 5852. Measures about 5.5 square x 14.5 tall to top of metal gear structure. Gears and paddle turn as intended.Please note there is a chip in the glass screw lip (see photo) which is not visible when the lid is on, and which does not interfere with screwing the lid on or off. Vintage Hazel Atlas Dandy Butter Churn

Early wooden duck decoy with tack eyes, nicely proportioned and with subtle hatching and incisions on body to suggest feathers. There was a sticker on the underside and a tag affixed when I acquired this decoy and I left them in place as they provide attribution. The tag reads Quebec Decoy per John Deeter &#38; Pierre Fidiadis From Lake St-Pierre Region.From the looks of it I dont believe this was a working decoy. In nice vintage condition with a very modest fleck off the edge of the tail. Large and heavy antique beaded purse. Check out the details in the metal frame and the multitude of teeny tiny beads forming the body of the purse. Large Antique Beaded Purse

This vintage hooked rug reminds me of Vincent Van Goghs Starry Night because of the varying shades of undulating blue lines in the sky along with the presence of stars. But here we have a rooster making an appearance.A cotton channel has been stitched to the back at the top and holds a wooden dowel for the purpose of hanging. But you want it on the floor you say? Then simply slide out the dowel.This rug is in very nice condition and its creator quite skilled - tight, even loops, and so many colour and line changes!Measures 35.5 wide x 24 high. This has seen about 4 coats of paint on it over the years, nail holes, pieces affixed to it, a couple splits here and there. Lot of 3 vintage mixing bowls.A small Hazel Atlas bowl with green ivy leaves on exterior. 5 diameter x 2.5 high. In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.A 1 1/2 pint Pyrex mixing bowl in what I think is known as the Amish Butterprint pattern. 7.5 wide to outside of tab handles x 3.25 high. A small chip on the corner of one tab handle, otherwise in good vintage condition.Lastly a 2 quart Pyrex mixing bowl in a pretty robins egg blue colour. Lot comprised of 4 pieces.A very nice round antique bread board. Incised border and word Bread carved in. The aged cut marks in the wood and the patina tell us bread was broken amongst family and friends for many, many years. The 3 button feet on the underside I suspect were a later addition. Measures 10.5 diameter. A great piece of antique woodenware with wear from use but no chips or cracks.Next is a sweet vintage tin piece which I think? is a pastry decorator. It has a little bowl shape with a slot holding a metal strip which is punched with 3 different decorative motifs. The strip slides to select the motif of choice and I guess would serve as a cutter as well. The bowl is about 2.75 diameter at mouth x 1 deep. The metal strip is just shy of 4.5 long. In good vintage condition.The 3rd piece in the lot is a diminutive butter press. This piece has some age but is not antique. The stamp has a single pear shape hanging from a branch. There appears to be a 10 incised in the top of the handle. Measures 3.75 tall from base to tip of handle x approx 1.5 diameter at mouth. Is a small split in the lip of the mold otherwise in good vintage condition. Doesnt look like it was ever used. Lastly is a large wooden honey dipper. Its size makes me wonder whether it was used at an apiary as opposed to a household kitchen. It measures just over 10.5 long and the body has a circumference of 7.5. There are a couple rough spots on the body and a couple small splits from age and use (see photos). Too heavy to be pine, maple perhaps?Bring packing material.                

Antique Treen &#38; Tin

Vintage Bulova advertising clock from a jeweller out of Quebec. The clock has a faux woodgrain metal frame with wood side panels. The face is an ivory coloured plastic. So often these clocks were illuminated but there is no evidence that this had been the case for this one (see photos). A sticker on the back panel reads Associated Advertising Limited Weston-Ontario.I had the clock plugged in for half a day and in that duration it was keeping accurate time. There are some surface marks and abrasions, some paint wear to the wooden ends, but no chips or cracks. Overall in good vintage condition with wear indicative of age and use.Measures 19.75 wide x just over 10.25 high x 3.25 at deepest measurement of wood side panels. Vintage Bulova Advertising Clock

Two pieces of pretty antique glass in opaque robins egg blue.The first is a lovely pedestal bowl. The stem on the base mimics a basket weave, the glass for the bowl itself is like a lattice design. This is a heavy, solid piece. Wouldnt lemons, or green apples, or peaches look stunning in it? The bowl measures 8.5 diameter at top x 7 high. There is a very slight stress crack on the underside of the base (see photos), otherwise in good vintage condition.The second piece is a vase with ruffled lip, embossed scroll design on body, and flanked by two rams heads at the base of the neck. Not Bristol glass as it is opaque, and heavier than a piece of Bristol would be. And how pretty would this be holding a little nosegay of flowers? Measures 8.5 high x 3.75 diameter at mouth. In very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.Bring packing material.

Antique Glass Pedestal Bowl &#38; Vase

Lot with 2 piecesA big &#38; thick wood washboard. I think this saw lots of elbow grease over the years. And thats a heavy slab of wood. Thick rope tied at top facilitates carrying and hanging. Measures 20 tall x 8.75 wide x 1.25 thick excluding ribbing. Great household primitive with wear indicative of age and use.The 2nd piece is a wooden 8 drawer storage box. Im guessing this was used to hold hardware bits?  Cant say Im a fan of the silver paint on the exterior. Would probably be a handsome piece with that silver gone. Measures 12 high x 8.75 wide x 5.5 deep. Lots of chipping and flaking to the silver paint, 2 of the drawer finials have been replaced with cup hooks, and the ends of 2 of the finials have chunk missing. Regardless is a sturdy, nicely made primitive.

Vintage Wood Washboard &#38; Storage Box

Great old wooden egg crate from Patterson Biscuit &#38; Candy company of Brantford. Nice warm patina on the wood, text in black and red on front and back, and check out the finger joints! The crate would have held 6 dozen eggs and measures 13.5 wide x 12.25 deep x 6 high with lid.One of the 2 bent nails that acted as fastener for the lid is gone and there are a couple slices off the edges (see photos) but remains a sturdy crate with wear and tear indicative of age and use.

Old hand crafted one board wooden game board - checkers in this case. There are pencil marks and a pattern carved out on the reverse but they must have lost interest or ran out of time. We enjoyed it as wall decor and there is a cup hook in the top for hanging.Nice thick slab of wood. The board measures approx 22 tall x 11.5 wide x almost 1 thick. Vintage Wooden Game Board

Viau general store confectionary tin with hinged glass lid. VIAU was a Montreal biscuit company and the glass inset in the lid enabled the contents to be visible to the customer. The tin has a red body with gold and black litho graphics. The tin itself was made for Viau by General Steel Wares Ltd. Montreal.Measures 10&#34; diameter at base x 7&#34; high. The glass in the lid measures 8&#34; in diameter. In used vintage condition with denting, paint loss and discolouration indicative of age and use. Glass lid is intact and has no chips or cracks. A paper label on one side above the Viau graphic is long faded so its text is no longer discernible.Bring packing material.

Large Vintage Bon Bon Tin

Two pressed glass antique coal oil lamps with fonts, wicks, and chimneys. Dont know the pattern name of either. The one with the octagonal base measures 15.75 tall with chimney x 4 diameter a5 base. The font reads White Flame Light Co Grand Rapids Mich.The lamp with the rectangular base measures 15.25 tall with chimney x just over 3.5 square at base. Its font reads Eagle.No chips or cracks on either.  Bring packing material. Untested

Pair Vintage Coal Oil Lamps

Great pair of folk art crows handcrafted out of wood, with wire legs and mounted on sections of tree. Each is signed on the underside J. Beckell. I know nothing of the artist. Can only tell you my mom acquired them in Apsley, ON several years ago.The open mouthed crow measures 12.75 long x 13.5 high on a wooden stump roughly 6.25 wide. The other measures approx 13.5 long x 13.25 high on a wooden branch 13 long. On this one the head swivels as it was carved separately and then pegged in place. There are splits in both bodies and bases from the wood drying over time. Bring packing material.

Vintage wooden crate for Grand Old Parr scotch whiskey from Leith, Scotland. This crate was used to ship the product to Ontario. While the brand itself originated 1909, this crate would date from around the 1930s or thereabouts. The LCBO of Ontario was first introduced in 1927, and following mergers and the like Macdonald Greenlees Ltd became the distillery name in 1925. These are identifying features in the stencilling on the crate.The crate is nice and sturdy with wear indicative of age and use.
