Lot #74: 3 Pieces Antique Tin Ware

This lot consists of 3 pieces of antique utilitarian tin ware. The first piece has me a bit stumped. It has a a hinged lid, a hinged loop handle, a tapered body with pouring lip, a cylindrical base where the bottom piece, although tight fitting, can be removed. This bottom cup stores a round disk with a strip for grating or striking? as well as a somewhat cone shaped measure? Was this a way of brewing tea or coffee? Was the bottom cup for drinking?, storage?, or was it to hold hot embers? I am reaching for possibilities as I truly dont know. There is a makers mark impressed in the bottom with a forearm wielding a hammer and a number 1 or 7. This curious piece measures 3.25 diameter at base x 5 tall to top of lid (6.75 tall to top of raised handle). In good vintage condition.The next piece is a coffee pot with removable lid although I believe at one time there may have been some form of hinge. The different solder marks I believe are all associated with its original manufacture, rather than later repairs. Measures 5.5 diameter at base x 8.5 high to top of handle.The final piece I believe was simply a measure. Again the solder marks I believe are from its original manufacture. Just shy of 2.5 diameter at base x 7 to top of mouth. In good vintage condition.In my condition notes please bear in mind these were rustic primitives all made to serve a utilitarian role.
