Lot #58: Very Rare Antique Grimwades Palmer Cox Svenson Cederstrom Aviation Brownies Pitcher

A 1911 Antique Palmer Cox Brownies pottery pitcher, this particular piece is very rarely found and highly desirable because of its connection to early and historic aviation history. Only a very few of these pieces were made and even fewer survive. The pitcher was made as a commemorative piece to honour two very early aviation pioneers and two significant flights. Robert Svendsen was a Danish aviator who made the first crossing from Copenhagen to Malmo, Sweden in 1910. Carl Cederstrom was a pioneering Swedish aviator who became the the first licensed pilot in Sweden in 1910. There is much information available on-line about both.  NOTE: Pick up for this auction is at the Walton Hotel building at the corner of Walton and John Street in Port Hope. The building is under renovation. Park/come around to the back door of the building (entry off of John Street) to retrieve your items.
