Molded from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, and stackable, these sleek chairs exemplify Magistretti's modernist ideals, which included functionality, elegance, and simplicity. Magistretti, 1920-2006, was an architect, urban planner, furniture designer, industrial designer, and lecturer at schools of architecture in Europe and America; his work is held at major museums worldwide. Designed for Artemide, these chairs were manufactured in the US by Burlington House International. Some wear, and two original rubber leg cushions are missing.
