Pat was born in Toronto during the Depression to Doris Morden Craig ( ne Butwell) and Harley Morden Jr. She grew up in Humber Bay, Toronto, and graduated from the Commercial Art Program at Western Technical School. She met future husband, Bob, while both were working at the Toronto Telegram. Discovering they shared the same birthday, a work colleague set them up on a date: they married in 1953. Pat worked at the University of Toronto for 35 years, and later, at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She received her BA and an MEd in Women's Studies while raising four daughters and working full time. One of Pat's proudest achievements was the CHORD co-op building she, Bob and Deirdre helped found, as well as the NABORS support program. Pat held multiple positions on the Board of NABORS, serving for decades and playing a major role in shaping its values and governance. As well, Pat was a founding and passionate member of the Ontario Women's History Network, which helped develop women's history course material for schools throughout Ontario. For more than 30 years, she used her independent press, Green Dragon, to provide printed resources and posters. Pat was Treasurer, Secretary and Archivist of OWHN. The Archives of Ontario now hold the OWHN files for research purposes. Pat and Bob enjoyed many years of sailing together and operating their independent press. In later years, Pat loved to do artwork at the Nielson Park Creative Centre. Thursdays would often find her there, using the printing press for her own distinctive art.
