Both of these coffee/spice grinders were purchased at a flea market in Helsinki in 1998. One is clearly older than the other but both are still functional as well as decorative. The older has a drawer to extract the ground product but the other requires you to lift the top half of the grinder to get at the spice/coffee. Neither have maker's marks but the newer one does have a sweet 'troll' mark on the inside. Newer version measures 3.5" square and 11" to top of the iron turning mechanism. The other grinder measures 5" x 5" x 7" to top finial of the handle.                <br>Condition: Very Good<br>Measurements: Various.

The puppet is dressed in traditional-style garments predominantly in dark red and orange tones, with intricate embroidery and beading on the chest and cuffs. The pants have patterned borders with black and white designs. The puppet's face is painted with detailed facial features including mustache and eyebrows, and it wears a hat matching the garments. The feet are pointed shoes in dark brown. The puppet has four control strings connected to the limbs and head for manipulation. The puppet's clothing is in very good condition without visible stains or damage. A matching dark red velvet drawstring bag is included.

Puppetry is a much loved art form in old 'Burma' and still practised today. Traditional Burmese puppet theatre ('yoke thay') dates from as far back as the 15th century.&nbsp;The wooden elements on this antique puppet still smell of teak. They have been painted and some paint &nbsp;shows some flaking.The clothing, in traditional style, with applied embroidery and beading is in very good condition.
