Both of these coffee/spice grinders were purchased at a flea market in Helsinki in 1998. One is clearly older than the other but both are still functional as well as decorative. The older has a drawer to extract the ground product but the other requires you to lift the top half of the grinder to get at the spice/coffee. Neither have maker's marks but the newer one does have a sweet 'troll' mark on the inside. Newer version measures 3.5" square and 11" to top of the iron turning mechanism. The other grinder measures 5" x 5" x 7" to top finial of the handle.                <br>Condition: Very Good<br>Measurements: Various.

Large traditional Balkan Opanak leather shoe with upturned toe, part of Serbian national folk costume. Woven leather construction with decorative weaving along the toe and edges. Measures approximately 18.5 inches long and 6.5 inches wide. Good condition with signs of age and use, no tears or repairs.

Handcrafted from leather, this Opanak features a brown leather body with a woven pattern on the toe and sides. The toe is distinctly upturned and braided details wrap around the shoe opening and continue along the toe covering. The leather has a natural textured finish with some areas showing wear consistent with age. The shoe is durable and traditional in style, representing Balkan folkloric peasant footwear.

Large Decorative Serbian Traditional Folkwear Opanak Leather Shoe

On offer is a large traditional Balkan 'Opanak', the woven leather shoe with upturned toe that  is part of the Serbian national folk costume. There are some signs of age and use&nbsp; but no tears, repairs. Lots of decorative use left!Display as is, hung on a wall, on a counter as a plant holder, letter or napkin tray!'Opanci' are traditional peasant shoes worn in Southeastern Europe (specifically Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and also Romania and Albania). The attributes of the opanci (obanak in plural) are a construction of leather, lack of laces, durable, and various endings on toes. In Serbia, the design of the &nbsp;ending on toes indicates the region of origin, though this specific design is not exclusive to Serbia. The opanci are also considered as the traditional peasant footwear for people in the Balkan region. In Bulgaria they are referred to as "tsarvuli".                                                <br>Condition: Good<br>Measurements: 18.5&#34; x 6.5&#34;

I have always only had one but given its extreme size, my family probably only ever had one! It is a decoration and if used as a shoe would be worn by a giant.  It is 18.5" long and meant to be hung on a wall or put on a shelf as a large decorative item.
