Lot #29: 1721 Antonius Stradivarius Copy Violin

Violin with case, bow, and tuner. Violin has paper labels inside indicating it to be a copy of the 1721 Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis violin, and was made in France by Marc Laberte, of Ateliers de Lutherie d'Art. There is wear to the finish, as is expected from a musical instrument of this age, probably circa 1930s or 1940s. The bow is marked "Glasser," has hairs that are in good shape, and has also been trimmed of loose hairs. Also included is a small carved wood tuner No. 176 A440 for violin or mandolin, made by Kent in Germany. The hard shell case is lined with green felt, and has a storage compartment for small things, like resin, etc (not included). The case has one clasp missing its upper half, and the locking clasp has numbers etched in, but does still hold closed for protection and transport of violin. There is black tape wrapped around the handle. We have done our best to check and/or test every item and disclose any flaws in the description, therefore all items sold as is with all sales final.
