Ms. Laurendeau was trained at the cole des Beaux-Arts in Quebec City. During her many travels abroad, shestudied drawing and color. Today, the abundance of shapes and colors characterizes her painting. SuzanneLaurendeau sometimes approaches painting under different themes, such as indolent characterized by elongatedwomen and card-makers. Painter of emotions, Mrs. Laurendeau uses mixed techniques where acrylic and oil are united. She also learnedstained glass from the master glassmaker, Olivier Ferland. She has participated in numerous soloand group exhibitions. Many of his paintings belong to private and public collections. Based in Quebec City, the artisthas set up a workshop on Saint-Paul Street where she paints the week before joining her husband at the weekend inCap Rouge.The artist won the prize of the Society for Studies and Conferences in 1979-1980. She also received the silver medalduring her participation in the 1993 biennale of the National Society of Fine Arts in Paris. She made the cover ofthree volumes of the Ministry of Social Affairs of Quebec, Selection of ReadersDigest and the phone book, in 1994.
