Signed, original color etching on paper, Saut De La Riviere (Jump of the River). Produced in France by the Paris Etching Society.Artist Louis Claude was born in Paris, France June 15, 1879 and died in 1963. This etching also bears the small logo of SZL for Sidney Z. Lucas who commissioned and sold Paris Etching Society artwork in his New York City gallery from 1928 through the 1950s.SIGNATURES: The upper left corner has Paris Etching Society NY USA.The lower left corner has Saut de la Riviere in pencil, along with the printed logo SZL (for Sidney Z. Lucas gallery).The lower right corner is signed in pencil by the artist Louis Claude.SIZE: This etching comes framed. The etching is approx 23"" wide X 18"" high. The frame is 26" wide and 21" high.CONDITION: Significant wear on wood frame, including chipping paint and loose edges as shown. Print appears to be in very good vintage condition with exception of light stain near signature on bottom right.
