These paper items range from 1896 to the 1920's. The WW1 handout was published by three Montreal papers to illustrate the flags, ensigns, armament, and signs of the allies who were fighting against Germany and the Austro-Hungarian empire. The 1896 flip calendar is illustrated with fragments of poems by H.W. Longfellow and different floral images for each month. The 1920's era Fruits and Candies recipe book is an advertising piece for Lydia E. Pinkham's Blood Medicine. All three pieces show signs of age and wear but remain interesting historical items.
