Vintage Necklace

During the 1980's women would get a jeweller to melt down bits of broken or unused gold jewellery into gold nugget earrings. This pair has been tested by a jeweller as 14K and the butterfly clasps are also stamped 14K. Each earring is roughly 8 mm in diameter. Excellent condition. Pickup category timeslot {A}

Pair of 14K Yellow Gold Earrings

The lidded box is 3 inches (8 cm) by 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) and 7/8 inch (2.5 cm) deep. It was made in Alpaca, Mexico, one of the silver centres of Central America. The bottom is lined with hardwood, the hinges are secure, and there are no missing pieces of inlay. The sterling portion could use a polishing but is otherwise in good used condition. Native Mohawk Basket

This unusual sterling necklace was made in Taxco, Mexico, and is inlaid with onyx and mother of pearl. The heavy links are a total of 18 inches (46 cm) in length. The elongated heart-shaped pendant adds a drop of another 1.25 inches (3 cm). Condition: very good -- there are no missing inlay pieces, although the silver could use a light polishing. Modernist Sterling Necklace Inlaid with Onyx and Mother of Pearl

During the Victorian and Edwardian era, women wore black and dark brown jewellery to indicate that they were in mourning. This antique brooch is from that era and is a piece of feminine history. Vulcanite, also known as ebonite, was crafted to look like Whitby jet but was much less expensive and therefore more affordable. It was initially patented by the Goodyear Tire Company in 1844 from a heated mixture of rubber and sulphur. It looks as if a piece of the moulded brooch has broken off at the end of the fingers; the pin is bent and curvy. Still an interesting piece. Pickup category timeslot {A}

The 1896 flip calendar is illustrated with fragments of poems by H.W. Longfellow and different floral images for each month.
