Washington Quarter Collection—44 Coins

This is what I thought to be an illuminated music manuscript so I sent pictures to an expert at PBA Galleries in Berkeley and this is what he wrote verbatim, It looks real, but its not technically illuminated. Probably 1500s or later, could be Spanish but my guess is more leaning Italian. These tend to be only moderately desirable, either way. So bid accordingly. Framed, very fine condition. Illuminated Music Manuscript 1500’s

This is a framed rock poster from the Family Dog Series. The poster features artwork by the late, great Rick Griffin and performers, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Kaleidoscope, and Charley Musselwhite from a concert held at Avalon Ballroom on 1/12-14/1968. It is an authorized reprint, number FD-101-RP-4, printed in 1990, according to Eric Kings definitive guide. Corners are soft but the poster displays well in a float frame so one can see both the front and back of the poster. Ready to hang in your man cave or music room! Large Lot Assorted Vintage Posters

Here is an original oil painting on canvas by noted artist M.S.L. Calvan from the early 60s. Calvan was born in Frankfurt, Germany, educated in Rome, and lived in Paris, which was his favorite subject. This Paris cityscape is a typical Parisian street scene using the impasto technique. The work is signed in all caps, typical of Calvan. The piece measures 28 x 32 framed and the artwork measures 19 3/4 x 23 1/4. Very fine condition. Bring packing material. Located upstairs. Here is a satirical, pro-environmental poster of a baby chick being hatched out of the egg wearing a gas mask from 1970!!! It was produced by Karma Productions of Canoga Park, CA. All of this information is printed on the bottom left edge of the poster underneath the frame. Poster measures 24 x 18. There are some staple holes in the corners and top and bottom edge from being hung on some hippies wall (mine) in the seventies. Great piece of history. Located upstairs. Pro-Environmental Poster 1970–Framed

This is an original watercolor by listed California artist, Estella Hoisolt (1889-1979) entitled, Through the Trees from Montalvo Road in Saratoga, dated 1944 on the back. The watercolor is hand-signed in pencil by Hoisolt, who was also the head of the Fine Arts Department at San Jose State for thirty years. You too could have an original watercolor painting by a listed California artist! Overall size is 22 1/2 x 26 1/2 and artwork size is 13 1/2 x 17 1/2. Frame shows scuffs, chips and staining. Vintage Still Life Oil Painting

This is a special piecea large carved wooden Burmese gilt, jeweled, and lacquered elephant that appears to be carved out of mahogany. Elephant stands 10 tall by 16 long and 8 across and is very heavy. Features lots of small jewels and gilt decoration, it has no other markings, probably handmade. This lot is a vintage Darchung porcelain tea set: a lidded teapot and nine cups, six with lids. (I believe the original set had six cups but the owner added three cups without lids later. Vintage Darchung Tea Set New In Box

Here is a quite stunning completed model of the battleship USS Missouri BB-63, constructed from the Tamiya 1/350 model kit. The ship measures 30 long (the base measures 36 long) by 8 tall. It is big! It seems well constructed but I have no idea if all the pieces are in place or not. But it sure strikes an imposing appearance. The model kit is Tamiya 7308 from 1985 and out of production. It comes with the original box that has the instructions and some miscellaneous unused pieces. But I will give it all to you for completeness and accuracy. Needs cleaning, it is dusty. Lot of four ceramic plates commemorating George and Martha Washington, likely from the 1932 bicentennial. Two plates have a Bavaria stamp and all have San Jose Preservation Society numbers. Very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.

Four decorative ceramic plates. Two white plates feature a sepia-tone design with George Washington's profile surrounded by laurel leaves and stars, vintage-style ribbon and eagle motifs, and the dates 1732-1799. One plate depicts a colored portrait of Martha Washington wearing a bonnet with a soft pastel background. The fourth plate has a brown border and shows a detailed colored historic scene of George Washington crossing the Delaware River with soldiers in winter gear.
