A streamlined, yet no less ornate interpretation of fine early historic European examples, this beauty boasts many of the same attributes. Exacting detail to direction of various wood grains is prominent. (mahogany, satinwood, ebony, rosewood perhaps). Three drawers of equal 6"H size sit atop a simple frame on the rectangular body of this desk. The 17"D writing surface pulls forward.&nbsp;Inside has a central compartment of open arched sections and three drawers (two 9"W, one 12"W)&nbsp;with inlaid floral marketry.&nbsp;&nbsp;Brass mounts and working locks. Hinged lid with bar handle, vented base for propane tank, two side shelves with tool trays, and a pull-out tray for cleaning under the grill. Locking casters make it easy to re-position. Prestige Napoleon Grill

<div>American Impressionist Dennis Perrin, 1950-2021, painted still lifes and figures, many en plein air, all in a light-filled, seemingly spontaneous style that calls to mind Sargent--one of his inspirations. Perrin painted from his base in Maine and New Hampshire, and also taught in various workshops and retreats, as well as online; his tutorials are available on youtube. This small still life features one his favorite motifs, full-blown roses, seen here lying on a white tablecloth, with a silver pitcher rising behind. Signed Dennis Perrin Floral Still Life

<span style="font-size: 1rem;">The craftsmanship in this cabinet and machine both is astounding, especially considering the quotidian nature of their function. The #31 parlor cabinet is tiger oak, in excellent condition. The central cabinet has top doors that open in, and bottom overlap doors that open out, to fully expose the treadle compartment. A side door reveals the flywheel mechanism; the rear of the cabinet can likewise be opened to allow treadle operation from front or back. On the left side a small drawer pulls out to reveal a lift out basket with bobbin holder; below it a narrow door opens to reveal four drawers with carved inset pulls. On the right, a narrow door opens to also reveal the flywheel. To lift the machine, open the lid, press down on the machine while pushing the small brass button that releases the torsion spring lift, and the machine pops up. Simply push to lower it again, and lock in place with the wooden bar. Hidden casters. Cabinet is in beautiful condition. The 1917 Singer 66 "Red Eye" machine was at one time one of the more expensive machines made, and advertised as "Built Like A Watch." They are still in use today, and treasured for their simple functionality and even stitches. This machine has beautiful gingerbread decals, drop-in bobbin, slant foot with back clamp for attachments, stitch length adjustment, tensioner, bobbin winder on the handwheel, and can be modified to add a motor. The decals are in good condition, with some wear to the bed. Note the original copper badge, and the beautiful nickle-plated face plate. Comes with bobbins, several different feet, needle case with needles, small tools. Needs a belt for the flywheel. This is a cast iron machine in a solid oak cabinet, in other words, heavy. We haven't been able to find any information on the artist, H. Backman, but the clothing, idealized style, and Victorian setting place this likely sometime in the late 1800s, and likely European in origin. Famed for its exquisite chandeliers and decorative pieces, Murano glass is less known for its use in jewelry.&nbsp;The island of Murano in the Venetian Lagoon has been the site of fine art glass-blowing since the 1200s, when Venice began to move glass-blowers there, to protect the city from the danger of fires posed by their workshops.  The glass-blowers likewise sought the isolation in order to protect their trade secrets, as proprietary glass-blowing techniques were being leaked in other European cities. One of these techniques is the inclusion of gold- and silver-leaf into pieces, incorporated as the hot glass is blown and shaped.
