Description
This is a very large original watercolor by noted Bay Area artist, Susan Dee Cummins. She employs a unique technique of painting washes on 100% cotton rag paper, then tearing and layering the paper to form abstract paintings. All of her paintings are originals; she does not make prints of any kind. This painting is entitled Ember, and in a conversation with the artist she said this work was painted in the late 1990s. She also stated that she has artwork hanging in the Transamerica Building and the Chevron Headquarters in San Francisco. The framed piece is 35 1/2 x 43 1/2 and spectacularly matted and framed. The matte and frame become part of the art. The pictures dont do it justice. A stunning piece! Frame has a chip out of the top left corner. Heavy, bring help. Bring packing material. Located upstairs.
