Big Contractors&#39; Lot

Large bronze pot features champleve band, three loop handles, and a footed base. Champleve is the process where a recess is made in the object, whether by etching, die casting, or carving, and then filled with powdered glass. Heat is applied to fuse and smooth the glass. Champleve was in use in the 2nd or 3rd century B.C., possibly earlier. Porcelain vase featuring colorful Famille Verte enameling, including intricate floral motifs and butterflies. The vase has a tapered rectangular shape, with a flared lip rim. The decoration is detailed and vibrant in apple green, iron red, blues, pinks, and other complementary colors, accented with Buddhist symbols. Some minor staining is present on the lip edge. The surface shows a glazed finish typical of vintage enameled porcelain pieces.

Vintage Famille Verte Porcelain Vase

Produced well into the 20th C, Famille Verte was adopted during the Kanxi period (1662-1722) and of course pieces from that era are most desirable. This colorful 14"H x 4"W (at base) x 4"W at lip "Green Family" vase is enameled porcelain with Buddhist symbols. Tapered rectangular form featuring a floral pattern with butterflies in predominantly bright apple green and iron red with blues and pinks.&nbsp; Age unknown.  Not stamped.
