Pair of unusual vintage molded cardboard masks. Hand painted. I dont know if these were intended for a theatrical production, mardigras type festival, display prop, or just as fun novelties.<div><div><br></div><div>The male mask has a cardboard band affixed to the back interior. Unsure if this was original or a later addition.</div></div><div><br></div><div>Both masks measures approx 8.75 high x 6.5 wide. Vintage Masks

First up is the round wooden picture frame with a beautifully decorated of floral embellishments on a rich gold coloured background. This antique frame would be of European origin and likely had framed a handpainted porcelain plaque. As such, there is no glass. Note: there is a warp to the body of the frame so it doesnt lay flat. Visible opening measures 5.75 diam.<div><br></div><div>Next up is the oval wood frame with glass housing an original watercolour painting of iris. Signed bottom right Irene Young. Visible opening of frame measures just under 7.5w x 9.5h.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Third up is the oval wood frame with gold gilt surface. Note: that is a sheet of thick plastic, not glass in the frame. Visible opening measures 6.25w x 8.5h.</div><div><br></div><div>This fourth frame is a very old one but it does have several bumps and bruises showing its age. The gold plastered liner has several cracks in its surface abd a couple broken chunks. The body of the frame is wood with a layer of ebonized plaster on the surface. There is about a 1.5 strip of the plaster broken off at the top front. Also, this frame has no glass with it. Visible opening measures just over 7.25w x 9.25h. Large Hooked Rug

First is the Roseville stoneware crock. Likely was a butter or cheese crock. As shown in the photos it has 2 long cracks which do not meet. The other creases and dimples are original to when it was made. We last used it as a planter. Measures 4.5 diam x 3 tall.<div><br></div><div>The next piece is an unmarked stoneware jar. No marking. No chips or cracks. We used it as a pencil holder, but could hold toothbrushes or be used for flowers. Measures 3 diameter x just over 4.25 tall.</div><div><br></div><div>The best piece is the antique salt glazed pitcher with embossed grid and floral design. It has base wear, lots of glaze crackling including the spidering on the underside, and some under the glaze anomalies from when it was made but no chips or cracks. Dating mid- to late 1800s. Measures 4.25 diameter at mouth (excluding spout) x 6.75 tall. 2 pieces of circa 1930/40 art pottery vases in nice matte aqua coloured glazes.<div><br></div><div>The ribbed vase or planter is impressed Brush USA on the underside along with the number 824. It is a nice heavy piece with the rectangular base firmly rooting it in place. Just shy of 6 diam at mouth x just over 5h. No chips or cracks.</div><div><br></div><div>The tall, tapered vase has no other marking than an impressed 746 on the base. Undoubtedly American though and of comparable era to the Brush piece. Such a pretty pair of swallows in flight. Each with original foil sticker intact Made in Ireland by Wade County Armach. Each measures 2.5l from beak to tip of tail x 2.75 to outside of wings. Pair of pretty vintage china flower frogs. Wouldnt these help make a beautiful and unique floral centrepiece. Or maybe you just like birds, or figurines - thats ok too.<div><br></div><div>First up is the fanciful blue bird with green head perched atop a stump. Mark impressed in base reads Made In Japan. Vintage Flower Frogs x 2

A pair of pie birds, neither marked in any way. The taller one is buff coloured with pink beak and base, green eyes and wings. It measures just over 5.25 high. I have seen others attribute this one as Shawnee.<div><br></div><div>The smaller pie bird is a classic shape and is plain white with black eyes and wide open beak. 2 Ceramic Pie Birds

Up first is an old bennington-type covered casserole dish. It does have age crackling but no cracks or chips. It measures 7 diam at mouth x approx 4.5 tall to top of finial.<div><br></div><div>Next up is a wonderful stoneware food mold in the image of a lamb. Unfortunately this old beauty has had a lot of damage over the years. The handle that would have been on the side has been broken off. A diagonal crack at one time severed the front of the body and head from the back end. It has been glued back together but can no longer function as a food mold. And there is a good-sized chip at the top lower left corner. Despite all this significant damage it remains a great display piece. 19th century, likely French. A bit of a variety pack here.<div><br></div><div>First is the pretty rectangular bon bon dish by Royal Albert. It measures 7w to outside of handles x approx 5.5deep.</div><div><br></div><div>Next is the pretty round blue on white plate with iris type flowers &amp; butterflies. It has no marking and I have no idea of the maker. It is old though. Note: there is a hairline crack on left side of outer rim. I almost missed seeing it - it disappears unless the light catches it just so. It measures 6 diam.</div><div><br></div><div>Next is the round blue on white round plate with an appearance reminiscent of Meissen. But it isnt &nbsp;Meissen, rather its Furnivals, England. Some surface scuffing to the glaze from use. Measures just under 8.25 diam.</div><div><br></div><div>Round plate #4 is unmarked. It has pretty hand decorated florals on the rim and in the centre. Measures 8.25 diam.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Plate #5 has blue florals on a cream coloured ground. It is marked on back Rhodia as the pattern, and Made in Belgium Boch? La Louviere. Plate hanger in place should you wish to mount it on a wall. Measures just over 9.25 diam.</div><div><br></div><div>Lastly, plate #6 has a blue-grey floral transfer design. Lot of 3 vintage ceramic wall pockets all made in Japan.<div><br></div><div>The first is my favourite with the pretty little blue bird perched atop a branch of berries. Measures 5.5 wide x 4 wide.</div><div><br></div><div>The yellow oak leaf measures 6.25 high x 3.75 wide.</div><div><br></div><div>Lastly is the dark yellow tulip? pocket. It is probably a bit earlier than the others with an impressed Made in Japan mark on the back, whereas the others have printed marks. It measures 5 tall x just over 3 wide. First up is the small embroidered silouhette of a woman with floral border in black oval wood frame. Framed measures 5.5w x 7 high.<div><br></div><div>Next is the pink oval frame with a print of a prayer verse published by Nathan D Kaplan, Chicago. In this instance the frame is metal. What charmed me is the inscription in pencil on the back - From Margery Smith March 1919</div><div>To Eileen ME MacMullen. Frame measures 4w x 6h.</div><div><br></div><div>Next is the little printed verse Aint It Funny in rectangular wood frame with antiqued gold finish. Measures just shy of 6w x just over 4.5h.</div><div><br></div><div>The printed verse To A Friend is copyrighted by Edgar A. Guest. It is in a wood frane with antiqued gold finish as well. In pen on backit is inscribed From Jennie B 1960, but the piece itself is more likely 1940s. Sweet Vintage Pie Bird

2 more First Nations beadwork pieces made from seed beads.<div><br></div><div>The first is a necklace with an eagle symbol and the text Inuvik. It utilizes white, blue, red, green, yellow and black seed beads. It measures approx 18 long to tip of dangles and is in nice clean condition.</div><div><br></div><div>The other piece is a neck-chain for holding eyeglasses. It is bright and colourful utilizing green, yellow, red, orange, blue, black and white seed beeds. Frim one end to the other it measures approx 25 long (excluding loops for attaching glasses). 2 First Nations Beaded Pieces

Vintage First Nations necklaces using tiny seed beads throughout with leather backing.<div><br></div><div>One with the black, orange, red, white, green seed beads is in beautiful condition. The medallion measures 2 diameter &amp; the beaded neck-chain hangs just over 11 long.</div><div><br></div><div>The other incorporates mostly blue and white seed beads with a few yellow, red, and orange. The medallion for this one is smaller measuring approx 1.5 diameter. The neck-chain for it hangs 12 long. Five lace bobbins varying in length from approximately 3.25 to 4 inches, featuring colorful beads on the top ends. Four bobbins are made from bovine material with polka dots and striped details, one bobbin is wooden with a smooth finish. The accompanying scissors are metal with pointed blades and handles wrapped in rattan. The rattan wrapping shows wear on one side, and the scissors may require oiling and sharpening before use.
