US State Quarters issued from 1999 to 2009, including the District of Columbia and US territories. This set encompasses quarters from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. The 50 State Quarters Program, which ran from 1999-2008, honored each state with a unique quarter design. In 2009, the program was extended to include the District of Columbia and the five US territories.  While most circulated state quarters are worth only their face value of 25 cents, some uncirculated coins, particularly those with a "D" or "P" mint mark, can be worth slightly more, potentially up to 3.50 depending on the state. Quarters with an "S" mint mark, produced in San Francisco, can be more valuable, with some Ohio quarters reaching 15. The 2009 quarters for the District of Columbia and territories had mintages ranging from 87,600,000 to 172,400,000.  Pickup category timeslot {A}
