Gorgeous original mixed media oil and pastel painting on canvas board by Hamilton artist Lydia Knox Hill (1929-2015) Subject matter is of an Ontario forest scene with trillium flowers in foreground. Signed “L. Knox Hill 1989” in lower righthand corner and verso  secret poem on back of painting

Lydia Knox-Hill (1929-2015) resided in Hamilton for majority of her life, she was originally from Lithuania. Prolific Hamilton artist and instructor. Interesting article in Hamilton Spectator on her life.
