Lot #78: Huge Antique Handiworks Lot

Please see all pix for a late addition, the  lovely handpainted wooden ribbon dispenser, England, c. 1875.  This large lot starts off with a wooden thread carrier, which may have originally been a tool box--we've loaded it with a variety of threads. Needle cases and ribbon holders; crochet hook holders including 2 striped painted wood versions, England c. 1875; embroidery hoops; a tool whose purpose we have yet to discover; various tools for knitting; and a darner make up the wood and metal items. We also include several antique roll-ups--the blue striped rollup is handmade, from PA, with storage pockets, c. 1860; the tan linen rollup has red silk ribbon trim and lining, and comes with several bodkins and punches of bovine material, as well as other small items, also from PA. Finally, an envelope style tool kit is printed rayon with roses and a pink lining, and  holds bobbins, thread, thimble, pins, c. 1940.
