Not the poet. Frame is 50” x 32”, has a small chip in finish on top. Painted on wood of a huge carnival or perhaps a county fair. This painting is my favorite thing in this entire auction. Some information about the artist is available:

The buckle is silver plate on copper, although I really thought it was sterling. In its center us a silver dollar from 1889.
