Not the poet. Frame is 50” x 32”, has a small chip in finish on top. Painted on wood of a huge carnival or perhaps a county fair. This painting is my favorite thing in this entire auction. Some information about the artist is available:

The buckle is silver plate on copper, although I really thought it was sterling. In its center us a silver dollar from 1889.

The set features jade green glazed stoneware with a smooth glossy finish. The larger bowl is ribbed with a marked '12', the smaller bowl is marked '30', and another bowl is stamped with 'Metlox 74'. The pitcher has a curved spout and a handle, unmarked, matching the same jade green color and gloss. Some bowls display small chips and glaze imperfections enhancing their vintage character.
