Royal Crown Derby Blue Mikado Set of 4 cup and saucers Very Nice Condition - No IssuesThis beautiful, Bone china set of cup and saucers are made by Royal Crown Derby in their famous Mikado collection. It is very rare shape.The Mikado pattern was designed in 1894 by Royal Crown Derbys art director, Thomas Amos Reed. It was inspired by rice paper drawings that he had obtained in the Far East. The original illustrations formed the basis of the scenes. With the exception of a few of the larger pieces, which are decorated with the complete design, all of the smaller items are decorated with a different chapter of the story. Variations of the legend associated with the pattern are many. Vintage military steamer trunk by Langmuir Luggage, dimensions 35x12x20 inches, metal construction with riveted reinforcements and a keyed lock mechanism. Exterior features military-style olive drab paint with markings including 'Lt. Colonel Jackson Toronto'.

Sturdy metal trunk with riveted edges and metal handles on sides. The finish is olive green with visible wear, scratches, and slight rust around the lock and hinges, reflecting its age and use. Markings painted in white and red on the top include a name and location. The interior is described as clean and dry. The lock has a large keyhole with a protective metal plate.
