Royal Crown Derby Blue Mikado Set of 4 cup and saucers Very Nice Condition - No IssuesThis beautiful, Bone china set of cup and saucers are made by Royal Crown Derby in their famous Mikado collection. It is very rare shape.The Mikado pattern was designed in 1894 by Royal Crown Derbys art director, Thomas Amos Reed. It was inspired by rice paper drawings that he had obtained in the Far East. The original illustrations formed the basis of the scenes. With the exception of a few of the larger pieces, which are decorated with the complete design, all of the smaller items are decorated with a different chapter of the story. Variations of the legend associated with the pattern are many. A single 5 cent Canada postage stamp featuring the Beaver design from the first decimal issue, Scott 15, brown red shade, issued in 1859. The stamp is used, with clear margins and good centering for this issue.

Rectangular stamp with perforated edges, printed in a brown red shade. The central design depicts a beaver sitting on a log with water, topped by a crown and the letters 'V R' below it. The text 'CANADA POSTAGE' arches over the top and 'FIVE CENTS' at the bottom, with the numeral '5' in each corner. The back shows light marks and some paper texture.

A fine very fine plus used single of the 5 cent Beaver, Scott 15 brown red shade color of the first decimal issue of Canada as issued in 1859.  Nice margins and centering for this issue which has notoriously tight margins and poor centering. A great copy of this stamp.  Would be a great addition to any Canada collection!
