Pair of antique needlepoint samplers, each completed by a young girl in the early 19th century. Includes: 1 sampler signed “Sarah Ann Stanton work done in the Year 1845,” featuring a central verse, floral borders, and squirrel motif 1 sampler signed “Susan Sarah Simpson Aged 10 Years 1828,” with a religious verse, floral bands, deer and animal scene, and decorative borders Approximately 10-14" wide and 12-18" long Both worked in multicolored wool on linen ground, showing age-appropriate wear and patina.
