ANDY WARHOL (American, 1928 - 1987). &#34;Flowers&#34; series. Silkscreen. Circa 1990. 35.25 x 35.25 inches. Original Andy Warhol silkscreen. Verso with stamp (“published by Sunday B Morning”) and “fill in your own signature.&#34; Fine condition. *** &#34;Perhaps the most iconic works by Andy Warhol in the 1960s, are the series of silkscreen editions that he produced depicting Marilyn Monroe, Campbell&#39;s Soup Cans, and Flowers. Limited to just 250, these iconic editions came to be known as the &#39;Factory Editions,&#39; after the vast studio that Warhol and his collaborators occupied in midtown Manhattan. In 1970, following the success of the Factory Editions, Warhol began collaborating with a Belgian print studio called Sunday B. Morning, with the intention of running further editions from the original screens and colour codes for a European market. These prints were stamped in black ink on the back to say, &#39;Fill In Your Own Signature.&#39; As a Pop Artist, Warhol was interested in disrupting distinctions between mass media and high art. By inviting the owners of these prints to sign the works themselves, Warhol was challenging the idea of authorship. Sunday B. Morning began publishing the prints again, after many years, in the late 1990s. All these prints are also stamped - now with blue ink - on the verso, with the inscriptions &#39;fill in your own signature&#39; and &#39;published by Sunday B. Morning.&#39; While ownership of Sunday B. Morning has changed hands a few times, the open edition prints are still published by the original printers in Belgium, using the same screens and printing process that they have used since their inception.&#34;

He was politically engaged and collaborated with the anarchist and socialist press. Steinlen became a regular contributor to Le Rire and Gil Blas magazines plus numerous other publications including L&#39;Assiette au Beurre and Les Humouristes, a short-lived magazine he and a dozen other artists jointly founded in 1911. Between 1883 and 1920, he produced hundreds of illustrations, a number of which were done under a pseudonym so as to avoid political problems because of their harsh criticisms of social ills. LEAH NUVALINGA QUMALUK (Inuit, 1934 - 2010). &#34;Spear Fisher.&#34; Lithograph. Circa 1964. Signed in syllabics at lower edge. 34.5 x23 inches. Some dampstain to bottom edges; frame slightly loose. *** Leah Nuvalinga (Sala) Qumaluk was a Canadian Inuk artist. Born in Inukjuak, Quebec, Qumaluk and her husband, Josie Qumaluk, moved to Puvirnituq in 1954. She began her career as a carver before experimenting with stoneblock printing in 1960. She would go on to author at least ninety-five prints during her career, printing most of them herself as well; most of these were stonecuts. She also printed hundreds of editions for other artists, holding a regular job in a print shop to make the output possible. Early prints were dominated by mythological themes or demons conjured up by her own imagination; these were later replaced with quieter subjects such as animals or depictions of traditional life. By the late 1970s, her output had diminished, and in 1985 she retired. Her style is different from that of other Puvirnituq artists in that she did not use the border of the uncut block to frame her images. [R4]

(Plate) 10.25&#34; x 6&#34;; (Frame) 19&#34; x 13&#34;. Slight mat burn. *** Sir David Young Cameron RA was a Scottish painter and, with greater success, etcher, mostly of townscapes and landscapes in both cases. He was a leading figure in the final decades of the Etching Revival. Cameron was well known and liked in the art world and held a great many appointments to societies and boards. On the retirement of RSA president Sir James Guthrie in 1919, it was suggested that Cameron stand for the presidency. Cameron declined however, citing too many existing responsibilities in London.
