This is an exquisite Edwardian Writing Desk from the early 1900s. It is very finely inlaid with borders around most edges and decorative vases on the cupboard doors. It has 5 drawers, 2 on each side and 1 in the middle. The middle drawer opens to reveal a height adjustable writing pad covered with embossed gold leather (has scratches as shown in pictures). It has three cupboards that sit on top of the desk. The 2 original keys still operate. The taller middle cabinet has 1 shelf inside. There are porcelain casters in brass fittings (need to be tightened and one needs to be re-attached). There are some spots where the inlaid wood is missing on the border. The desk measures 40" long, 29" wide. The cabinet that sits halfway on top of the desk measures 20 1/4" high at the highest point. The top part of the cabinet is removable. Must be removed from the second floor. Bring help.
