Specifically, a Maurelio piece is described as a handmade clay storyteller figurine, with hand-painted faces. • This is hand formed from a low fired redware clay, and hand painted with various oxides and underglazes, and fired in a kiln without glaze. • There are two girls, and two boys surrounding the mother or grandmother, each wearing traditional clothing. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks. or chips.
