Following a 1967 diving accident that left her paralyzed from the shoulders down, Joni learned to create art by holding a pencil or brush in her mouth. Her early works, like this one, were sold directly through her ministry and are now sought after for their emotional power and remarkable technique. This beautifully executed pencil drawing depicts a classic sailing vessel with gracefully rendered sails and subtle shading.
