This lot features two unique chess or checker boards.  The first is a heavy slate game board with pictures of horses, dogs, ducks and geese. Decoration includes marbled background and etching around pictures and game squares.   Sorry we have not found the game pieces.  18” square.  Approx .25”thick.  The second is a framed wood parquet game board with solid wood back.  Likely hand made with a metal ring for hanging.  Finish has light wear and a few dings, but no significant damage.  No game pieces.  16.75” square x 3/4” thick.  See the photos

Two Chess/Checker Boards

 This is a high-end turntable, made by United Audio. It is a Dual 1219 with a walnut base and plastic dust cover.  It even has the manual and the pole in the middle to allow it to play multiple records.  Currently, it is not turning; it started and then stopped when we tried to change speeds.  Looks clean both on top and bottom and the dust cover does not even have a crack.  Get it for a bargain and get it repaired. You&#39;ll be amazed.  Go vinyl!

Heavy Solid Metal Duck 

This lot contains seven bowls of varying sizes.  The blue striped bowl is marked Pyrex and the white bowl with handles is marked Sunbeam.  The bowl with ferns is marked Franciscan.  You can see in the photo of all the bowls that the one in the back row is glowing brightly in green. We were shining a black light on it and this green glow would seem to indicate that the bowl may contain uranium.  The Sunbeam Bowl has a small chip on the rim. Other than that all of the bowls appear to be perfect.  Diameters range from 9&#34; to 10&#34;.  The tallest bowl is the Sunbeam bowl, which is 4.5&#34; tall.

Set of Bowls - Pyrex, 

This lot includes two vintage wood stands.  The first in in the Arts and Crafts style.  It has a square base & top with four-sided body tapers from base to top.  W 9.5” x D 9.5” x H 24.75”.  The second stand has a box-type top with 4 legs and a small crosspiece shelf below.  W 9.25 x D 9” H 24”.  Joined with screws.  Both stands show appropriate wear to their finish for their age but are solid.

This is a vintage full size umbrella made of black fabric. It features a sterling silver handle and a sterling silver band as well as a band of wood. Both the handle and the band are marked Sterling.  The umbrella fabric is in very poor condition but the handle is beautiful. 35.5&#34; from tip to handle.

This is a unique split top box/chest.  Based on the wear we observe it is very old. May have served as storage for a fireplace with large side for logs and small side for kindling. These were sometimes used as blanket chests.  No way of knowing how it was used by the original owners. May have been modified in past. See photos to help judge its age. This is a great miniature antique cast iron anvil.  You can screw it to your workbench and hammer away on it.  It&#39;s lasted this long.  The circular magnet you see in the pictures was stuck to it when we found it.

These fire marks were originally created by insurance companies.  They would be hung on the outside of a home to indicate to firefighters that the homeowners had fire insurance.  Two of these are brass and one is painted cast iron & aluminum on black wood. The brass fire marks are 2&#34; to 3&#34; high.  The mark mounted on wood is 15&#34; high.

This cast iron miter with vice can easily hold your two pieces of wood at a perfect forty-five degree angle so that it can be trimmed or framed or glued.  We believe it to be new in the box, but it may have been used. We can&#39;t tell.  It doesn&#39;t appear to have been bolted to any bench.  We also found a fletcher point driver for framing and glazing.  We will add that in this lot.  It shows some rust, but it did work when tested.
