Lot #71: MCM Italian provincial sheet music cabinet & nested wooden step stool.

Manufactured primarily during the 1950s and 1960s as decorative revival furniture, this distinctive multi-functional telephone or hallway station stands out due to several signature features: • The Upper Cabinet: A top drop-front secretary compartment wrapped in a high-gloss book-matched walnut veneer. The center panel is decorated with a classic oval hand-painted floral bouquet inlay featuring romantic roses. • The Frame Construction: The cabinet is elevated on a lower console table base configured with a single storage drawer featuring a delicate keyhole brass pull, supported by traditional turned spindle legs. • The Nested Step Stool: Cleverly tucked directly underneath the console frame is a matching two-tier wooden step stool that slides out smoothly on identical turned miniature legs. This dual piece was designed to assist homeowners in reaching high bookshelves or cabinets. Contents not included Dimensions: 17x17x44 Pickup category timeslot {B}
