Lot #136: vintage Jacobean Revival gateleg drop-leaf table featuring a distinctive scalloped or pie-crust edge

• The Top: Features a beautifully worn oak veneer top constructed with two folding outer leaves. It is uniquely finished with a continuous pie-crust scalloped border rather than a standard straight edge. • The Frame: Equipped with robust barley-twist (spiral-turned) wooden legs and low perimeter stretchers that coordinate with the Jacobean style chair (Lot #133) from the same estate. • The Mechanism: Built with a classic gateleg system where the outer legs swing out like a gate on wooden hinges to securely prop up the extended drop leaves when needed, or fold flat for compact storage against a wall.
