Vintage Mid-Century Modern Signed ceramic pottery Table Lamp with Turned Walnut base and socket support, topped with a very nice cloth shade. The lamp is in great shape overall, other than a very small spot of glaze missing towards the top, likely due to small hairline cracks (see pics). Doesn't really affect the lamp or the look, it's pretty inconspicuous. This lamp is signed "EN", both in the glaze and on the base, indicating that it was made by one person in particular in a studio setting, rather than being factory produced in large scale by anonymous craftspeople. There are a few possible makers that correspond to these initials. - Eric Norstad / California. Mark Style: Known to mark pieces with EN, occasionally in brown glaze or impressed near the base. Style Match: Norstad worked extensively in heavy stoneware, producing large-scale architectural lamps, stoneware pottery, and textured drip/fat lava glazes throughout the 1960s and 1970s. - Einar Nerman / Swedish Studio Potters: Scandinavian studio lamps (from Sweden or Denmark) imported in the 1960s and 1970s often paired teak stems with textured white/brown glazes, then fitted Leviton wiring upon arrival in North America. My guess is likely Eric Norstad, but please pics to come to your own conclusions. See pics for dimensions. Pickup category timeslot {A}
