Lot #92: Stunning Burmese Kalaga Tapestry Framed Antique

This Is a most beautiful framed textile artwork. It is a traditional Burmese Kalaga tapestry featuring a procession of embroidered elephants and figures on a black velvet background with ornate metallic borders. The 3D padding (quilted stuffing) on the elephants and figures shows a higher tier of craftsmanship. The tapestry is dense with tightly swirled metallic sequins and looks very complete. Has been in the family for many decades and was professionally framed years back. It is quite an old piece and would make a stunning addition to any decor. Please note it is quite large and impressive. Measurements are in the pictures. Pickup category timeslot {A}
