Royal Copenhagen Art Nouveau Underglaze Porcelain Vase Depicting Frederiksborg Castle (No. 4569)
A vintage Royal Copenhagen fine porcelain cabinet vase featuring a scenic underglaze panoramic depiction of Frederiksborg Castle (Frederiksborg Slot) in Hillerød, Denmark. Executed in the company’s signature muted, atmospheric Art Nouveau palette of smoky greys, soft blues, and delicate cream tones, the design highlights the castle's distinctive renaissance spires and bridges reflecting softly over the surrounding lake water.
The underside bears the standard underglaze green Royal Copenhagen crown mark over "Denmark", accompanied by the traditional three hand-painted cobalt blue wavy lines representing Denmark’s three straits. Stamped with shape/decor number 4569 alongside the painter's handwritten monogram initials.
