Lot #91: Indigenous American Hand Painted Art Pottery Vase MCM

This is a vintage mid-century modern hand-painted ceramic art pottery vase featuring a stylized Indigenous American dancer or warrior motif set against a green and terracotta background on the front. The other side of the vase displays a stylized animal-masked figure wearing a horned buffalo or bull mask, mirroring the mid-century Indigenous American dance theme seen on the front. The overall structure of the vessel mimics a traditional multi-handled vase silhouette, complete with scalloped or notched side fins glazed in a deep cobalt blue. The interior is also coated in the same striking blue glaze, highlighting the terracotta body beneath the hand-painted details. Signed Amedeo, the foil label directly identifies the origin of this piece as A. & C. Cavicchioli Original Pottery, which was handcrafted and painted in Canada.
