Hand Carved Wooden Heron Bowl
. I believe that this was made from a
hardwood either cherry or myrtle wood.
• There is a trapezoidal mortise-and-
tenon wedge joint joining the neck to the
body of the bowl, which rules out that
this was made in Hawaii as their bowls
were made from one piece without joints.
• I believe this was made by a crafts
person somewhere along the West Coast
from California to BC, and dates back to
the mid-century period 1960's-1970's.
• This piece is not signed, but because
there are two toned wood inlays for the
eyes, it demonstrates a master craft level
of wood working.

label that has been removed over time.
• This vase was made between 1987 and
the early 2000's.

abstract, organic web or "lightning bolt"
pattern trailing across the body.

clear lead-free crystal to case over this
pigmented center, giving the vase a
deep, three-dimensional "glowing" feel.

Murano MCM Art Glass Fish
• This is a mid-century hand-blown
piece, made by Venetian glass artisan
workshops during the 1960's and 1970's.

shaped with flutes or ruffles is a hallmark
of mid-century Venetian work.
