Lot #21: Vintage Kodak Carousel 760H Auto-Focus Slide Projector with Boxed 140 Slide Tray

Relive your favorite memories or upgrade your vintage media setup with this classic mid-century photography staple. Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Kodak Carousel 760H Auto-Focus 35mm Slide Projector, accompanied by a Kodak Carousel 140 Slide Tray in its original vintage retail box. The Kodak Carousel system revolutionized how the world shared photographs. First introduced in the 1960s, the "H" line of the 1970s refined the technology to its peak consumer standard—using a dependable gravity-feed system that prevented the frequent slide jams common in older horizontal models. This model remains highly sought after by retro enthusiasts, analog photographers, and archivists alike for digitizing family history. Key Features & Points of Value: • Auto-Focus Convenience: Built-in auto-focus technology keeps your images sharp without constant manual adjustments between different slide mounts. • Large Capacity Tray: Includes a classic Kodak Carousel 140 slide tray, holding up to 140 individual 35mm cardboard or thin-mount slides. • Vintage Appeal: Includes the original box for the slide tray, complete with retro graphics and stickers that add excellent vintage provenance for collectors (Note: The tray box is empty; it is included for its physical appeal and historical context). • Robust Engineering: Built during an era when Kodak goods were engineered to last, utilizing high-quality mechanical components. Untested. Visually in excellent condition. Pop Culture: The Kodak Carousel was featured in the iconic Season 1 Finale of Mad Men, titled "The Wheel" (Season 1, Episode 13). In the episode, Kodak executives approach the agency to market their new slide projector. The company's engineers had originally given it a purely functional name: "The Wheel".
