This means the raw, unadorned white ironstone blanks were manufactured in England by Johnson Brothers. • The Decoration: The prominent shield stamp reads "Sovereign Potters / Decorated in Canada / Charmian". This confirms that the white plates were imported into Canada, where Sovereign Potters (based in Hamilton, Ontario) applied the "Charmian" blue floral pattern and glaze. • The Code: The number R110-62 underneath the pattern name is the design's registration number.
