Charles Sucsan
Charles Sucsan was born in Paris, France to Hungarian parents. The artist studied ceramics and sculpture in Paris, apprenticing at the studio of Florencio Fernandez, a master ceramist and close friend to Pablo Picasso. Sucsan studied drawing and painting at LEcole Municipal de Paris from 1951-1952. In 1952 the artist moved to Montreal, Quebec to pursue a career in the arts. Sucsan started working with a design company when he arrived in Montreal. In 1958 the artist opened his own studio and produced several award-winning decorative objects. Charles Sucsan is a multi-disciplinary artist, working across mediums; producing paintings, ceramics, murals and sculpture. From 1960 to 1975 the artist received a number of commissions to create several large public and private murals in Montreal and Quebec.
Charles Sucsan translates his unique vision of the world on to the canvas using a hybrid of graffiti-style painting where figures dance along the surface with exuberance, expressions ripe with colour, a world created by the artist that is poetic and beautiful.

His work is included in many private and public collections around the world. His greatest personal achievements include being a medalist at The Academic Society of Paris Arts-Sciences-Lettres and his participation in the UNESCOs Hope and Optimism portfolio.

3. All buyers with invoices over $300 must be prepared to show a photo ID and the credit card used on file before items will be released.
4. No children or animals are allowed on site, as moving furniture and heavy items can be dangerous.Â
5. Washrooms are not available for use.
6. By departing from the site, you agree that you have all the correct items and are satisfied with them. Before leaving the site please discuss any issues with the MaxSold team lead or the Seller/Representative (for Seller Managed Sales where no MaxSold staff are present).
7. MaxSold team members do not have packing materials and are not allowed to carry or load your purchased items. Please have adequate supplies and help to safely remove your purchases.

Policies for Pickup
Pickup time windows are fixed and limited. You will be required to select a pickup window prior to the auction pickup. Please be sure to select a time slot that you are certain you will be able to attend. Alternate pickup times may or may not be accommodated and if accommodated may result in additional fees.
Claims for refunds can be made only in certain limited circumstances. Where an error in the lot description has occurred on an item you purchased, let the seller (or their representative) know immediately upon pickup so that it may be rectified. Except for limited circumstances, refunds are subject to processing fees.
