Description: Absolutely stunning original rendering of Rothenburg ob Tauber in Germany with classical touches such as the horse drawn cart and period dress of the population. Pencil labeled and signed F. Palmer.
Artist: France Fanny Flora Bond Palmer (1812-1876) was a well known artist and lithographer of the late 19th century. Beginning a career in England as a lithographer, she and her husband Edmund Seymore Palmer, they later moved their business to the US. Fanny created art and reproduced other artists' works for publications. While their rapport was very positive, the business was not enough to support them. Theft later sold the majority of the business stock to Nathaniel Currier who hired Fanny to continue producing the paintings for the publications. The business would later become Currier and Ives.
Condition: The rendering is in amazing condition with no fading and almost imperceptible toning. The artwork is slightly offset within the display. The frame is in very good condition with minor marks from previous ownership. The display is glass and unmarked. The verso is paper taped cardboard with a Robert Sills Gallery, Inc. Fund Raising Auction label with register number.
Provenance: This piece has been in my personal collection for many years. I purchased this artwork from a auction house in Portland, Oregon. Robert Sills Gallery auction tag with register number on verso.

Policies for Pickup

3. All buyers with invoices over $300 must be prepared to show a photo ID and the credit card used on file before items will be released.
4. No children or animals are allowed on site, as moving furniture and heavy items can be dangerous.
5. Washrooms are not available for use.
6. By departing from the site, you agree that you have all the correct items and are satisfied with them. Before leaving the site please discuss any issues with the MaxSold team lead or the Seller/Representative (for Seller Managed Sales where no MaxSold staff are present).
7. MaxSold team members do not have packing materials and are not allowed to carry or load your purchased items. Please have adequate supplies and help to safely remove your purchases.

Policies for Pickup
Pickup time windows are fixed and limited. You will be required to select a pickup window prior to the auction pickup. Please be sure to select a time slot that you are certain you will be able to attend. Alternate pickup times may or may not be accommodated and if accommodated may result in additional fees.
Claims for refunds can be made only in certain limited circumstances. Where an error in the lot description has occurred on an item you purchased, let the seller (or their representative) know immediately upon pickup so that it may be rectified. Except for limited circumstances, refunds are subject to processing fees.
Maxsold does not arrange shipping; however, you can make your own arrangements at your own risk.
Current bids cannot be changed or removed once submitted and each one is a promise that you will honour the bid and all the terms.
