Description: A fine Artist Proof of the town doctor speaking with an older woman about treating the younger lady. This is a pen signed and embossed Artist Proof.
Artist: Lajos Markos (1917-1993) is a known and listed artist known for his highly detailed figure paintings often depicting the American West. Mr. Markos was commissioned to paint John Wayne, Robert F. Kennedy, Pablo Casals and even President Ronald Reagan. His artwork can still be found in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Zigler Museum in Jennings, Louisiana the JP Morgan headquarters and the Texas State Capitol
Condition: The artwork is in excellent condition. The backing board is slightly warped in two spots (I will remove this statement if replaced) causing slight gaps along edges. The frame has nicks visible in the photos. The Acrylic display is in very good condition.
Provenance: Purchased from an online charity auction in North Charleston, South Carolina. No previous ownership is known.

Policies for Pickup
1. Buyers MUST wear a MASK.
2. Buyers MUST show a copy of your PAID INVOICE (either paper or on your phone).
3. All buyers with invoices over $300 must be prepared to show a photo ID and the credit card used on file before items will be released.
4. No children or animals are allowed on site, as moving furniture and heavy items can be dangerous.
5. Washrooms are not available for use.
6. By departing from the site, you agree that you have all the correct items and are satisfied with them. Before leaving the site please discuss any issues with the MaxSold team lead or the Seller/Representative (for Seller Managed Sales where no MaxSold staff are present).
7. MaxSold team members do not have packing materials and are not allowed to carry or load your purchased items. Please have adequate supplies and help to safely remove your purchases.

Policies for Pickup
Pickup time windows are fixed and limited. You will be required to select a pickup window prior to the auction pickup. Please be sure to select a time slot that you are certain you will be able to attend. Alternate pickup times may or may not be accommodated and if accommodated may result in additional fees.
Claims for refunds can be made only in certain limited circumstances. Where an error in the lot description has occurred on an item you purchased, let the seller (or their representative) know immediately upon pickup so that it may be rectified. Except for limited circumstances, refunds are subject to processing fees.
MaxSold does not arrange shipping; however, you can make your own arrangements at your own risk.
Current bids cannot be changed or removed once submitted and each one is a promise that you will honour the bid and all the terms.
