Description: A rare original large eight person Chinese ancestral painting showing multiple generations of a family as a way to honor the past ancestors. Ancestral paintings were a cherished piece of art to celebrate the family lineage of affluent households. Age is often determined by the headdress of the figures. This piece dates to the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) with all figures adorned in kimono style attire with cranes, a symbol of fortune. Exports of original ancestral paintings are now banned in China to preserve the cultural history that they represent.
Artist: Unknown stamp.
Condition: The large and heavy painting is applied to the backboard and shows craquelure across the entire image. Staining along the original border tape and a soot like darkness to the painting itself. Material is brittle and cleaning by a skilled professional is recommended. The display is glass and is in excellent condition. The frame is solid wood with some marks that are deeper than the stain. This is a large and heavy (32 lbs) artwork. Anchored mounts are highly recommended.
Provenance: This piece was purchased from a charitable organization in Lacey, Washington. No prior ownership is known.

Policies for Pickup
1. Buyers MUST wear a MASK.
2. Buyers MUST show a copy of your PAID INVOICE (either paper or on your phone).
3. All buyers with invoices over $300 must be prepared to show a photo ID and the credit card used on file before items will be released.
4. No children or animals are allowed on site, as moving furniture and heavy items can be dangerous.
5. Washrooms are not available for use.
6. By departing from the site, you agree that you have all the correct items and are satisfied with them. Before leaving the site please discuss any issues with the MaxSold team lead or the Seller/Representative (for Seller Managed Sales where no MaxSold staff are present).
7. MaxSold team members do not have packing materials and are not allowed to carry or load your purchased items. Please have adequate supplies and help to safely remove your purchases.

Claims for refunds can be made only in certain limited circumstances. Where an error in the lot description has occurred on an item you purchased, let the seller (or their representative) know immediately upon pickup so that it may be rectified. Except for limited circumstances, refunds are subject to processing fees.
MaxSold does not arrange shipping; however, you can make your own arrangements at your own risk.
